Jeungpyeong is a regional rail town in North Chungcheong Province, served by Korail on the Chungbuk Line. The city has one main passenger train station, Jeungpyeong Station, which places it on the north-south regional corridor between the Cheongju area and the inland rail routes toward Chungju and Jecheon. It is not a high-speed rail stop, but it works as a useful local rail access point for central South Korea.
Trains from Jeungpyeong are mainly Korail regional intercity services, including Mugunghwa-ho trains on the Chungbuk Line. Passengers use Jeungpyeong Station for local and intercity trips, with transfers at larger nearby stations such as Osong, Daejeon, and Jecheon for KTX, ITX, and wider Korail connections. Cheongju Airport can also be reached by rail through the Chungbuk Line corridor.
Rail routes from Jeungpyeong run southwest toward Cheongju, Osong, and Daejeon connections, north toward Chungju and Jecheon, and onward through transfer points toward Seoul, Busan, and the Jungang Line corridor. Book trains from and to Jeungpyeong online at Rail Monsters.
