Practical Information for Eurostar and NS Travelers

Paris - Schiphol via Rotterdam involves carrying your own luggage between trains. The continental Eurostar allowance differs from the rules for Eurostar services to London.

Luggage Allowance

Continental Eurostar permits two items up to 75 x 53 x 30 cm each and one hand bag. There is no fixed weight limit, but you must carry and store everything yourself; label your bags.

Storage Facilities

Eurostar has overhead shelves and larger luggage racks near carriage entrances. On the NS connection, use the available racks or space under your seat and keep aisles and doors clear.

Special Items

A full-size bicycle on continental Eurostar must be dismantled and enclosed in a cover no larger than 135 x 85 x 30 cm. Check separate rules for instruments, sports equipment and the onward NS service before booking.
