Eumseong Train Tickets

Inbound trains reach Eumseong through two different stations. KTX-Eum services from Pangyo arrive at Gamgok-Janghowon Station in around 55 minutes, while trains from Bubal take about 20 minutes. Services from Chungju reach Gamgok-Janghowon Station in around 25 minutes. On the Chungbuk Line, Mugunghwa trains from Jecheon arrive at Eumseong Station in roughly 50 minutes. Trains from Jeungpyeong take about 20 minutes, services from Cheongju arrive in around 45 minutes, and trains from Daejeon reach Eumseong in about 1h40m, depending on the stopping pattern.

Eumseong is a county-level rail hub in northern Chungcheongbuk-do, positioned between the Seoul metropolitan rail corridor and the inland Chungbuk Line. The area has two useful passenger rail points: Eumseong Station on the Chungbuk Line and Gamgok-Janghowon Station on the Jungbu Naeryuk Line. Korail operates the passenger services at both stations, giving Eumseong links toward central Korea and the greater Seoul area. Rail services from Eumseong include KTX-Eum trains at Gamgok-Janghowon Station and Mugunghwa trains at Eumseong Station. KTX-Eum provides higher-speed intercity service on the Jungbu Naeryuk Line, while Mugunghwa trains handle regional travel across Chungcheongbuk-do. There is no direct airport rail station in Eumseong, so passengers usually connect through Seoul-area or Cheongju-area transport depending on their airport. Routes from Eumseong run northwest toward Pangyo and the Seoul metropolitan area, south toward Chungju, east across the Chungbuk Line toward Jecheon, and southwest toward Jeungpyeong, Cheongju, and Daejeon.
