Hadong is a regional rail point in South Gyeongsang Province, positioned on the Gyeongjeon Line between Jinju and Suncheon. The county is not a high-speed rail hub, but Hadong Station gives passengers access to Korail intercity and regional services across the southern part of South Korea. Hadong has one main passenger train station for most rail trips.
Trains from Hadong are mainly Mugunghwa-ho services operated by Korail. These trains link Hadong Station with larger rail nodes where passengers can connect to KTX and other long-distance trains. For high-speed rail, travelers usually connect through Jinju, Suncheon, or other larger stations on the Korail network rather than boarding KTX directly in Hadong.
Rail routes from Hadong run east toward Jinju, Masan, Changwon, and Busan-area connections, and west toward Suncheon, Gwangju-area connections, and Jeolla routes. Common rail destinations include Jinju, Suncheon, Masan, Changwon, and Bujeon. Book trains from and to Hadong online at Rail Monsters.
