Okcheon is a regional rail stop in South Korea on the Gyeongbu Line, the historic main railway corridor between Seoul and Busan. The town has one main passenger train station, Okcheon Station, and KORAIL operates the intercity and regional services that call there. Its position just east of Daejeon makes Okcheon useful for travel across Chungcheongbuk-do and for connections onto the wider national rail network.
Train services from Okcheon are conventional rail services rather than high-speed KTX departures. Passengers use Mugunghwa-ho trains for regular intercity travel and selected ITX-Saemaeul services where available. Okcheon Station handles trains to Okcheon from both directions on the Gyeongbu Line, with transfers at Daejeon Station for KTX, SRT, and other long-distance routes.
Rail routes from Okcheon run northwest toward Daejeon, Cheonan, Suwon, and Seoul, and southeast toward Yeongdong, Gimcheon, Daegu, and Busan. Travelers can buy Okcheon train tickets for local regional trips or connect through Daejeon for high-speed travel across South Korea. Book trains from and to Okcheon online at Rail Monsters.
