Hufuf, also written Hofuf, is a key passenger stop in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province on the SAR intercity line between Riyadh and Dammam. The city is served by one main passenger rail station, Hofuf railway station, which places Al Ahsa on the national east-west rail corridor rather than on the Haramain high-speed network.
Trains from Hufuf are operated by Saudi Arabia Railways, commonly known as SAR. Services are intercity trains with reserved seating, linking Hofuf railway station with major stations on the Riyadh-Dammam line. Hufuf does not have a dedicated airport rail link, so passengers usually combine SAR rail travel with road transfers for airports in Dammam or Riyadh.
Rail routes from Hufuf run west toward Riyadh and central Saudi Arabia, and east toward Abqaiq and Dammam on the Gulf side of the Eastern Province. The station also supports trains to Hufuf for travelers entering Al Ahsa from the capital or the coast. Book trains from and to Hufuf online at Rail Monsters.
