Konya is one of Turkey's main inland rail hubs, positioned on the Central Anatolian network south of Ankara. The city has one principal intercity train station, Konya Gar, served by TCDD Tasimacilik. Its key rail role is as a YHT high-speed terminus and transfer point for conventional routes toward southern Anatolia.
Trains from Konya include YHT high-speed services on the Ankara and Istanbul corridors, regional services toward Karaman, and longer conventional trains linking Central Anatolia with the Aegean and Mediterranean rail networks. Konya Gar is the main train station for both high-speed and conventional departures, so passengers usually do not need to change between separate city terminals.
Rail routes from Konya run north toward Ankara and Eskisehir, northwest toward Istanbul, south toward Karaman and Adana, and west through Afyonkarahisar toward Izmir on selected conventional services. Popular rail destinations include Ankara, Eskisehir, Istanbul, Karaman, Adana, and Izmir. Book trains from and to Konya online at Rail Monsters.
