Sakarya sits on Turkey's main Marmara-Anatolia rail axis, between Istanbul and the central Anatolian network. The province is served mainly through two passenger rail points: Arifiye, the key long-distance station, and Adapazari, the central city station for regional trains. TCDD Tasimacilik operates the main passenger services, including YHT high-speed trains at Arifiye and Ada Express regional services for Adapazari.
Train services in Sakarya include high-speed YHT links on the Istanbul-Ankara corridor, intercity extensions toward central and southern Turkey, and regional trains connecting Adapazari with the wider Marmara rail network. Arifiye is the main train station for long-distance trains to Sakarya, while Adapazari station is used for local access into the city center.
Rail routes from Sakarya run west toward Istanbul and Kocaeli, east toward Ankara and Eskisehir, and southeast toward Konya on selected YHT services. Regional services also connect Sakarya with Gebze, Izmit, and other Marmara stops. Book trains from and to Sakarya online at Rail Monsters.
