Jinbu is a rail stop in Pyeongchang County, Gangwon Province, on South Korea's KTX Gangneung Line. The city area is served by one main passenger train station, Jinbu Station, also signed as Jinbu (Odaesan). Korail operates the passenger rail services that stop here, giving Jinbu a direct role on the east-west rail corridor between the Seoul area and the Gangwon coast.
Trains from Jinbu are mainly KTX-Eum high-speed services using the Seoul - Gangneung corridor. Jinbu Station handles reserved-seat intercity travel rather than a large mix of local rail services. The station is useful for travelers moving between Gangwon mountain towns and long-distance rail connections at Seoul Station, Cheongnyangni Station, and other stops in the capital region.
Rail routes from Jinbu run west toward Pyeongchang, Manjong, Cheongnyangni, and Seoul, and east toward Gangneung and the coastal rail network. Some services also connect with the Donghae direction, depending on the train pattern. Book trains from and to Jinbu online at Rail Monsters.
