Yeosu is the southern terminus of South Korea's Jeolla Line, giving the city a defined role in national rail travel between the south coast and the Seoul area. The city has two main passenger stations: Yeosu-Expo Station at the end of the line and Yeocheon Station serving the northern part of Yeosu. Korail operates the main train services in the city.
Trains from Yeosu include KTX high-speed services on the Jeolla Line, ITX-Saemaeul intercity trains, and Mugunghwa regional services. Yeosu-Expo Station is the main train station for long-distance arrivals and departures, while Yeocheon Station handles many of the same Korail services before trains reach the terminus.
Rail routes from Yeosu run north through Suncheon, Jeonju, Iksan, and Osong toward Seoul, with connections to other parts of South Korea through major interchange stations. The city does not have a dedicated airport rail link, so rail travelers use Yeosu-Expo or Yeocheon for intercity services. Book trains from and to Yeosu online at Rail Monsters.
