Dalian is the southern rail terminus of the Liaodong Peninsula and an important China Railway hub for Northeast China. The city has two main passenger stations for intercity travel: Dalian Railway Station near the central area and Dalian North Railway Station on the high-speed network. Its rail role is defined by northbound routes that connect the coast with Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, and the Beijing corridor.
Trains from Dalian include high-speed G and D category services, intercity C category trains within Liaoning, and conventional Z, T, and K category services on selected longer routes. Dalian North Railway Station handles most high-speed trains from Dalian, while Dalian Railway Station serves central departures, regional services, and some conventional long-distance trains. There is no dedicated national rail airport station for Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport.
Rail routes from Dalian run north toward Shenyang and Changchun, northeast toward Harbin, west through the Bohai Rim rail corridor toward Tianjin and Beijing, and east across Liaoning toward Dandong. Other reachable cities include Panjin and Anshan. Book trains from and to Dalian online at Rail Monsters.
