Jinhua sits in central Zhejiang on one of eastern China's busiest east-west rail corridors. The city functions as a regional interchange between Hangzhou, Yiwu, Quzhou, Jiangxi, Hunan, and longer routes toward southern and southwestern China. Jinhua has two main passenger stations, Jinhua Railway Station and Jinhua South Railway Station, with China Railway operating the city's intercity, high-speed, and conventional services.
Trains from Jinhua include G-series high-speed services on the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway, D-series intercity services on selected corridors, and slower Z, T, and K-category conventional trains. Jinhua Railway Station handles the broadest mix of long-distance and regional trains, while Jinhua South Railway Station is used mainly by high-speed services and some regional high-speed stops.
Rail routes from Jinhua run northeast toward Yiwu, Hangzhou, Jiaxing, and Shanghai, southwest toward Quzhou, Shangrao, Nanchang, and Changsha, and southward through transfer routes toward Wenzhou, Fuzhou, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. The city is also useful for rail travel across central Zhejiang without backtracking through Hangzhou. Book trains from and to Jinhua online at Rail Monsters.
