Lianyungang is a coastal rail hub in northeastern Jiangsu, positioned where the east-west Longhai corridor meets newer high-speed lines across the province. The city has two main passenger stations: Lianyungang Railway Station for most high-speed and intercity services, and Lianyungang East for selected conventional and port-area services. China Railway operates passenger trains to Lianyungang across regional and national routes.
Rail services from Lianyungang include China Railway High-speed G-series and D-series trains, intercity links through Jiangsu and Shandong, and selected conventional K-series trains on longer corridors. Lianyungang Railway Station is the main train station for train tickets on the high-speed network, with through services connecting the city to the Xuzhou and Nanjing corridors.
