Etihad Rail is the national railway operator of the United Arab Emirates, connecting the emirates by standard-gauge rail. Its 900 km network carries both freight and intercity passenger trains, operated by Etihad Rail Passenger Services, a joint venture between Etihad Rail and the international operator Keolis. Passenger routes link Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, and the Al Dhafra region, connecting 11 stations across the country.
Etihad Rail trains are built by CAF and run at speeds up to 200 km/h, with Comfort Class and Premium Class. Both include guaranteed seating, onboard Wi-Fi, charging points, and food and beverage service. Comfort Class has three fare types, Saver, Value, and Flex, which differ in how much you can change or refund the ticket. A dedicated high-speed line between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, designed for speeds up to 350 km/h, is also planned to cut that journey to around 30 minutes.
Rail Monsters provides online search and booking for Etihad Rail routes, schedules, and ticket options across the UAE.
