Rail Monsters Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Rail Monsters, we operate as an independent ticketing service provider, facilitating the purchase of rail tickets on behalf of our customers through global rail suppliers. By purchasing a ticket via our platform, you agree to the terms and conditions of both the selected rail carrier and Rail Monsters.
1. Rail Carrier Terms & Conditions
All tickets sold on our platform are subject to the fare rules and refund/modification policies of the relevant rail carrier. These vary depending on the rail supplier, route, fare class, and ticket type.
Rail Monsters mirrors and applies the carrier’s specific terms provided at the time of booking. If a rail supplier changes their fare policy after purchase, Rail Monsters follows the latest applicable version.
2. Rail Monsters Cancellation & Modification Policy
In addition to rail supplier rules, Rail Monsters reserves the right to apply the following service terms to any transaction completed through our platform:
Service Fee: All cancellations and modifications may be subject to an additional Rail Monsters service fee of 10% to 45% of the ticket price. This is applied on top of any fees imposed by the rail carrier.
Final 24 Hours Policy: Tickets cannot be modified or cancelled within 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure, regardless of rail supplier terms.
Processing Time: Refund requests are processed in line with the rail carrier’s refund timelines. Rail Monsters will take all necessary steps to ensure refunds are processed within 14 business days of confirmation from the carrier.
Non-Refundable Fares: Some fares are strictly non-refundable or non-changeable. These conditions are defined by the rail carrier and are beyond Rail Monsters’ control. We are not liable for any loss due to the carrier’s enforcement of such policies.
Discretionary Application: The above policies may be applied or waived at the sole discretion of Rail Monsters, based on transaction complexity, route, or customer circumstances.
3. How to Request a Refund or Modification
To request a cancellation or modification:
Via Your Account or App: Log into your Rail Monsters account and go to “Cancellations & Modifications” to follow the automated steps.
Via Email: Alternatively, email us at [email protected] with your booking details.
⚠️ Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before the departure to be considered. Requests submitted after this time will not be processed.
4. Important Disclaimer
Rail Monsters does not operate any train services. We serve as an intermediary and cannot be held responsible for:
The operational decisions of rail carriers (e.g. schedule changes, train cancellations, refusal of boarding);
Delays or technical issues in the rail supplier’s booking or refund system;
Losses incurred due to fare restrictions clearly communicated at time of booking.
By using our platform, you acknowledge and accept that ticket availability, refundability, and change options are ultimately governed by the policies of the respective rail carrier.
