Gyeongsan is a regional rail point in North Gyeongsang Province, positioned immediately east of Daegu on South Korea's Gyeongbu Line. The city has one main intercity rail station, Gyeongsan Station, and is served by Korail on the national network. Its rail role is closely linked to the Seoul - Daegu - Busan corridor, one of the country's busiest passenger axes.
Trains from Gyeongsan include selected KTX high-speed services, ITX-Saemaeul intercity trains, and Mugunghwa regional services. Gyeongsan Station handles long-distance and regional departures on the Gyeongbu Line, while nearby Dongdaegu Station in Daegu provides a larger choice of KTX and SRT connections for passengers who need additional departures.
Rail routes from Gyeongsan run northwest toward Daegu, Daejeon, Suwon, and Seoul, and southeast toward Ulsan and Busan. Regional services also support travel across the Daegu area and toward other North Gyeongsang cities through transfers on the Korail network. Book trains from and to Gyeongsan online at Rail Monsters.
