From Wuhan Station, the journey continues on the Wuhan–Shiyan high-speed railway to Anlu West (Anluxi), where trains run at up to 300–350 km/h (186–217 mph). Fastest end-to-end itineraries are about 4 hours 40 minutes to 5 hours 20 minutes, usually with a same-station transfer at Wuhan. D-series EMUs also run on parts of this route at 200–250 km/h (124–155 mph), making more stops and taking around 5.5 to 7 hours overall. Conventional Z/T/K services on legacy lines connect Shanghai to Wuhan at 120–160 km/h (75–99 mph); when combined with a short high-speed hop from Wuhan to Anlu West, total travel can extend to 9–12 hours. G and D trains offer reserved seating, power outlets, and refreshments, with Business and First on G providing wider seats and extra legroom.
