High-speed trains on the Shanghai to Jiningdong route offer Second, First, and on select services Business Class seating. The fastest itineraries use a G-category Fuxing service (CR400) from Shanghai Hongqiao along the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway at up to 350 km/h (217 mph) to Qufu East, then a short D-category Hexie segment to Jiningdong at up to 250 km/h (155 mph). With limited stops (typically Nanjing South, Xuzhou East, Qufu East), this combination completes the trip in about 3 hours 40 minutes to 4 hours.
By comparison, through D-category services (when scheduled) run the full journey on 200–250 km/h (124–155 mph) sections and make more intermediate stops, resulting in a longer travel time of roughly 4 hours 15 minutes to 4 hours 45 minutes.
All trains provide reserved seating, air-conditioning, power outlets, and clean restrooms. First Class offers wider seats and fewer passengers per row, while Business Class on Fuxing sets provides lie-flat seats and the quietest carriage layout. For the quickest arrival, choose the G + D connection via Qufu East; for a single-seat ride, look for a through D service, accepting the slower schedule.
