With a same-station change at Nanchang West, total journey time typically falls around 5.5–6.5 hours, depending on the connection and number of intermediate stops. Direct D-series CRH services also operate from Shanghai to Yong’an South without a transfer, using 200–250 km/h (124–155 mph) corridors through Jiangxi into central Fujian. These through trains call at more regional stations and usually take about 6.5–8 hours. G-series sets offer Second, First, and Business Class; D-series provide Second and First Class, with Business Class available on some formations. All services feature reserved seating, power outlets, luggage racks, and trolley or dining-car catering.
