Practical Information for SJ X 2000 and Oresundstag Travelers

On Stockholm to CPH journeys via Malmo, you carry and transfer your own luggage. Apply SJ's limits to the long-distance leg and keep airport cases clear of Oresundstag doors and aisles.

Luggage Allowance

For the SJ leg, the standard allowance is two bags, each up to 80 x 50 x 35 cm and 20 kg, plus one small hand bag. You must be able to handle everything yourself; an airline baggage allowance does not override the train's rules.

X 2000 has overhead shelves and luggage racks in the carriages. Oresundstag has racks and multipurpose areas, but space is shared with other passengers; do not leave airport suitcases in doorways or wheelchair spaces.

Special Items

Assembled bicycles are not accepted on SJ X 2000; only qualifying folded or dismantled, packed bicycles can travel under its baggage rules. Oresundstag carries bicycles subject to space and applicable ticket rules, but that does not make an assembled bicycle valid on the SJ leg. Check packed instruments and sports equipment against SJ's special-item conditions.
