Typical daytime travel time is about 8.5–10.5 hours. Seating includes Second, First, and Business Class, with power outlets and a trolley or dining service. D-series overnight EMU sleepers also link Shanghai and Northeast China at 200–250 km/h (124–155 mph). They usually take about 14–17 hours and provide sleeper berths (EMU sleeper pods or soft sleeper compartments), plus a dining car and hot water stations. This is a single-ride night option on many dates. Conventional Z/K trains cover the same corridor at 120–160 km/h (75–99 mph), generally 22–30 hours.
