On the Shanghai to Fuyuan route, the fastest door-to-door option combines high-speed trains with a final conventional segment. G-series Fuxing trains run Shanghai Hongqiao–Beijing South at up to 350 km/h (217 mph) and continue north on the Beijing–Harbin high-speed corridor at around 300 km/h (186 mph) to Harbin. From Harbin, D-series EMUs on the Harbin–Jiamusi intercity line operate at 200–250 km/h (124–155 mph), with the last stretch from Jiamusi to Fuyuan covered on a standard line at up to about 120 km/h (75 mph). With good connections, the total journey is typically about 15–18 hours. By contrast, traditional long-distance T/Z/K services follow the conventional network via Harbin and Jiamusi, running at 120–160 km/h (75–99 mph) and usually taking roughly 32–38 hours overall. These trains offer Hard/Soft Seat and Hard/Soft Sleeper classes and a dining car. High-speed segments provide Second, First, and Business Class seating with power outlets and trolley service. Note that no high-speed line reaches Fuyuan yet; the final leg is always on conventional rails.
