High-speed G-series Fuxing services link Shanghai and Panzhou along the Shanghai–Kunming High-Speed Railway. These trains typically depart from Shanghai Hongqiao and run via Hangzhou East, Nanchang West, Changsha South, and Guiyang North before continuing into western Guizhou with a final stop at Panzhou. Operating speeds reach up to 300 km/h (186 mph) on the eastern sections, then ease to about 200–250 km/h (124–155 mph) through the tunnels and viaducts in Guizhou. Most itineraries take around 8.5–10 hours, often with a same-station change at Guiyang North or Anshun West. Onboard, Fuxing sets offer Second Class, First Class, and Business Class seating, power outlets, and modern interiors. By contrast, conventional Z/T/K trains on the parallel Hu–Kun Railway run from central Shanghai station and cover the journey overnight with many intermediate stops. These services cruise at roughly 120–160 km/h (75–99 mph), with long mountain sections dipping below 100 km/h (62 mph), leading to total journey times of about 18–22 hours.
