The quickest journeys take about 3 hours 45 minutes to around 4 hours 15 minutes depending on stops, while others take closer to 4–5 hours. Many trains are through services to Qingdao or Yantai that call at Weifang North. D‑series EMUs, including overnight sleeper sets (CRH1E/CRH2E), also operate on this corridor. Daytime D trains generally run at 200–250 km/h (124–155 mph) over mixed high‑speed and conventional track and take roughly 5.5–6.5 hours.
