All high-speed trains on the Shanghai to Wuyishan route are G-series services (mainly Fuxing and some Hexie EMUs) with Second, First, and Business Class seating. The fastest G-series Fuxing trains run at up to 300 km/h (186 mph) on the high-speed network and link Shanghai Hongqiao with Wuyishan North (Wuyishanbei) in about 3 hours to 3 hours 30 minutes, making limited stops at key stations such as Hangzhou East and Shangrao. Other G trains route via Nanjing South and Hefei South at the same top speed but usually take around 3 hours 45 minutes to 4 hours due to additional stops. In comparison, D-series Hexie high-speed trains operate at 200–250 km/h (124–155 mph) and typically take 4.5 to 6 hours, serving more intermediate stations and in some cases using Wuyishan East on the conventional line. Conventional Z/K services also run between Shanghai and Wuyishan East at about 120–160 km/h (75–99 mph), taking roughly 7 to 9 hours and offering hard/soft seats or sleepers. G-series trains provide assigned seating, power outlets, and clean restrooms, while Business Class adds wider recliners for extra space.
