Yuzhou itself is not on the high-speed network, so travelers transfer to a conventional train from Zhengzhou or Xuchang for the last segment. In contrast, conventional K/T/Z trains operate on the legacy network to Yuzhou Station, running at 120–160 km/h (75–99 mph) and usually taking 9–12 hours. These services depart from Shanghai Railway Station and are suited to overnight travel with Hard Seat, Hard Sleeper, and Soft Sleeper options.
