End-to-end travel time is about 3 hours 10 minutes to around 3 hours 40 minutes, depending on stops at major stations such as Nanjing South, Xuzhou East, Shangqiu, or Kaifeng North. By contrast, conventional Z-series overnight trains run between Shanghai (main station) and Zhengzhou (central station) at up to 160 km/h (99 mph), taking roughly 9–11 hours with multiple intermediate stops across Jiangsu, Anhui, and Henan. These trains provide Hard Seat, Hard Sleeper, and Soft Sleeper berths for those preferring a night journey. Onboard, high-speed services offer assigned seating, power outlets, luggage racks, and a trolley or dining car for refreshments; Business Class features wide reclining seats.
