These services offer Second Class, First Class, and on select departures Business Class seating. End-to-end journeys on G-series trains usually take about 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours with limited stops—often including Nanjing South and Xuzhou East—before arriving in Lianyungang. D-series EMU services also cover this route via the Lianyungang–Zhenjiang high-speed railway (up to 250 km/h [155 mph]) and the Shanghai–Nanjing corridor (up to 300 km/h [186 mph]), making more intermediate calls such as Yangzhou, Huai’an, and Zhenjiang; these run around 4 hours 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the stopping pattern. Both train types provide reserved seating, power outlets, luggage racks, and onboard restrooms; G-series are the fastest choice, while D-series offer wider regional access. For a roomier seat, First Class—and on some G-series, Business Class—adds extra width and legroom.
