Yes — you can book tickets for anyone, as long as the passenger names and details are entered correctly during checkout.
You’ll still receive the booking confirmation and tickets to your email. If needed, you can forward the ticket to the traveler, or they can access it via the Rail Monsters app by logging in with their email or phone number (if you entered it during booking).
As well, in your passengers tab you can add an email for each passengers and we will send a copy of the ticket to that passenger (we will only send the ticket that has the name of that specific passenger). This system is very handy when you have a group booking - each passenger can get his own ticket.
It depends on the country you're booking for — each route has its own requirements, and our system is designed to handle that automatically.
For example:
• In Austria, only the passenger’s name and surname are required.
• In Portugal or Saudi Arabia, additional details like passport number, nationality, and date of birth are mandatory.
Before checkout, our system will show exactly which fields are required for each leg of the journey. You won’t need to guess or look it up elsewhere.
We’ve also built smart data handling into the platform:
• If you’ve already booked a ticket (e.g. to Austria) and only entered basic info, then later book a route that requires full ID details (e.g. Portugal), the system will prompt you to fill in just the missing fields.
• These details are securely saved to your account and auto-filled for future bookings — saving time while keeping things compliant per country.
Everything is dynamic, route-specific, and built to streamline multi-country travel — even with different passenger rules per leg.
Yes — you can add up to 19 passengers in a single booking.
Each passenger will have their name and class preferences applied to every route in the cart.
You’ll receive one confirmation for the full group, but each passenger will have an individual ticket, visible under the same booking ID in your account.
Yes — if you entered the traveler’s email or phone number during booking, they can log into the Rail Monsters app or website using their own credentials.
They’ll receive a one-time code (OTP) to access their ticket, even if you were the one who paid for it.
If the ticket was booked using only your contact info, you’ll need to forward the email or PDF to them manually.
It depends on the country.
• In most countries, only the name is required at the time of booking.
• Some countries (like China) require full passport information for identity-based boarding.
If required info is missing during checkout, the system will notify you before you pay. You won’t be able to complete the booking unless all mandatory fields are filled in.
Minor typos (like one letter off) are usually not a problem — rail suppliers are more flexible than airlines. If the name is close to the original ID, the ticket is still valid in most cases.
If you entered a completely different name or swapped passenger details, contact support at ([email protected]). In some cases (if the ticket hasn’t been issued yet), we can update it manually.
After issuance, changes may not be possible — depending on the supplier’s rules.
