I bought the wrong ticket — what can I do?

If your ticket is refundable and you are more than 24 hours before departure, you can cancel it immediately in your account.

Here’s what to do:

1. Go to My Account → Cancellations & Modifications

2. Select the ticket and check the refund conditions

3. If eligible, confirm cancellation — your refund will be processed automatically

4. Rebook the correct ticket

If you’re within 24 hours of departure, cancellation is not possible — even if the mistake was unintentional. Rail suppliers do not allow any changes or refunds during that window.

Can support help me cancel a mistaken booking after the 24-hour cutoff?

Unfortunately, no — even in urgent situations, we cannot cancel or modify tickets less than 24 hours before departure.

Rail Monsters is directly connected to rail suppliers, and once their system locks the ticket, it becomes non-refundable. This is a strict policy we must follow, and our support team cannot override it.

I selected the wrong date or time — can I switch it without canceling?

No — date and time changes always require a cancellation and rebooking, based on the supplier’s refund rules.

If your ticket is refundable:

• Cancel it from your account

• Search again with the correct date/time

• Rebook the correct ticket

Always double-check the details before finalizing payment, especially for international time zones.

I accidentally booked twice for the same route — can I get a refund?

We do have a prevention module for the duplicate orders. You will be notified before checkout that your cart has duplicates. However, if you still confirm then you can end up having 2 identical orders. If both bookings are refundable and outside the 24-hour window, yes — you can cancel one of them from “My Account.”

We recommend:

• Cancelling the duplicate ticket as soon as possible

• Keeping the version that matches your travel plan

• Avoiding multiple tabs/windows when booking — it can trigger duplicate orders

If one ticket is non-refundable, it unfortunately cannot be refunded just because it was duplicated.
