Why is the amount I was charged slightly different from what I saw at checkout?

All prices on Rail Monsters are displayed in your selected currency. However, your bank or card provider may apply conversion fees, cross-border charges, or rounding differences — especially if your card is billed in a different currency.

We do not add any extra markup beyond what is shown at checkout. Any difference is caused by:

• Exchange rates used by your card issuer

• International transaction or interchange fees

• Currency rounding applied by your bank

• Delay between authorization and settlement

These charges are applied by your bank — not by Rail Monsters.

Can I avoid currency conversion fees?

Yes — if you have a multi-currency card or a digital bank (like Wise, Revolut, N26), you can often choose to pay in the same currency as your card account and avoid extra fees.

At checkout, always check whether the price is shown in your card’s billing currency. If not, your bank may charge an automatic conversion fee.

Why is my card being charged in a different country?
