What does my refund include — and what is not refunded?

Your refund includes the ticket price, minus any cancellation fees set by the rail supplier.

However, some parts of your order are not refundable, including:

• Rail Monsters’ platform service fee (clearly shown during checkout)

• Any non-refundable extras (e.g. eSIMs, experiences, partner services if marked as non-refundable)

The system will always show you a complete breakdown of what you’re getting back — before you confirm the cancellation.

Why is the service fee non-refundable?

Our service fee covers:

• Platform technology

• Booking engine usage

• Automatic delivery, refund tools, and customer support

• Currency handling, multi-language service, and infrastructure costs

Even if you cancel a ticket, these services have already been used to complete and manage the order. That's why the service fee is not refunded, and this is clearly stated before payment.

Will I see each part of the refund separately?

No — your bank or card provider will process the refund as a single transaction. However, inside your Rail Monsters account, you’ll see a full refund breakdown:

• Base fare

• Supplier refund amount

• Rail Monsters service fee

• Final refund total

This breakdown is visible before you cancel, and again in your cancellation confirmation email.
