In some countries or for specific train types, tickets are not issued immediately — even after your booking is confirmed.
This is not a delay — it’s how the rail supplier operates. Some examples:
• Certain routes in Japan, France, Austria, and other countries open ticketing only 28 days before travel
• Some tickets in China or Italy may be issued only on the day of travel
• For night trains or special fares, the supplier may delay issuing to avoid last-minute changes
In these cases:
• Your booking is still confirmed and secure (check in My Account the status)
• Your ticket will be issued automatically once it becomes available
• You’ll be notified by email and in the app when it’s ready
Check the country-specific train guides on Rail Monsters for detailed rules by region.
If your route uses delayed ticket issuance, unfortunately, we can’t force early delivery — we rely on the supplier’s schedule.
However:
• Your confirmation email includes all the trip details (train number, route, class, date) and can be used to show intent to travel.
• You can also take a screenshot of your “My Account” booking status if needed for embassy or hotel documentation.
If you have a strict deadline (like visa filing), it may be better to book closer to departure when instant issuance is available. However, normally for Visa related questions the train travel tickets are not sufficient proof as hotel booking or apartment reservation.
We don’t currently show issuance timing as a filter — but in general:
• Tickets for travel within the next few days are more likely to be issued instantly
• Routes like Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Spain often support immediate delivery
If instant issuance is critical, feel free to reach out — and check our country guides for the most up-to-date info.
